Bell & Webster manufacture precast concrete beams in a variety of designs and dimensions as specified by the client.

Handling and Installation:

  • Beams are delivered and off loaded using the quick release lifting loops attached to the recessed eyes.
  • The beams are then lifted into their final position using the same method

Design Beams are designed to BS 8110 the structural use of concrete
Loading Equivalent to 2.5 metres high cavity brickwork
Section 200mm minimum width x upto 2000mm high, rectangular or with nib for brickwork
Lengths 4500mm, 6000mm, 7500mm and specials
Bearings Minimum end bearing 300mm
Anchor Dowels T.32 - Hole diameter 75mm
Lifting Proprietary recessed lifting eyes
Concrete mix Minimum compressive strength 40N/mm2@ 28 days
Cement Ordinary Portland
Aggregate Trent Valley 20mm max size
Reinforcement

Characteristic strengths, main bars 460N/mm2, links 250N/mm2,
minimum cover 40mm
